Taj Mahal Kisah Cinta Abadi
Nemuin buku ini saat jalan-jalan ke Gramedia di Gajah Mada.
Dan ... pas kebetulan tanggal 7 Juli 2007 kemaren adalah ulang tahun pernikahan yang ke 5, jadi sekalian beli aja buat sang istri tercinta .... supaya dibilang romantis gitu ...
Di bagian awal, terdapat kalimat yang bisa dijadikan bualan oleh laki-laki "Lelaki mana yang dapat berfikir jernih tanpa ada wanita disampingnya" walaupun kalimat tersebut (dalam buku ini) dilontarkan oleh seorang wanita. Hal lain yang cukup menarik adalah saat Mumtaz Mahal melahirkan anaknya yang ternyata sungsang dan hal itu pula yang kemudian merenggut nyawanya, sang Shah yang langsung turun tangan membantu menarik bayi yang masih merah untuk keluar dari rahim sang Ibu, akan tetapi tertahan oleh tali pusarnya yang melilit ke leher.
Semakin jauh membaca, buku ini banyak mengungkapkan konflik dalam istana, dimana Dara sang pewaris tahta kerajaan memiliki sifat yang sangat bertolak belakang dengan sang adik, Aurangzeb.
Sedangkan sang Sultan yang terlalu bersedih setelah kematian istrinya lebih mementingkan perasaan cintanya kepada sang istri, yang kemudian memerintahkan seorang arsitek yaitu Ustadz Isa untuk membangun sebuah bangunan untuk mengenang sang istri tercinta yang kemudian dikenal dengan nama Taj Mahal.
Konflik banyak terjadi dalam lingkungan istana yang bernuansa Islam, akan tetapi sebagai seorang yang juga menganut ajaran-ajaran islam, saya merasa bahwa alur yang terjadi dalam keseharian keluarga istana ini cukup menodai ajaran-ajaran islam.
Pembunuhan sadis yang dilakukan oleh Aurangzeb kepada musuh-musuhnya bahkan kakak, adik serta sepupunya yang masih belia mencerminkan sang panglima perang ini sangat kejam, lalu kutipan ayat-ayat Al-quran pun dirasakan agak janggal, selain itu perselingkuhan antara Jahanara dengan Isa dapat leluasa terjadi karena Isa dengan leluasa terjadi karena izin dari sang Ayah atas peranannya sebagai Sultan, beberapa hal tersebut menurut saya benar-benar menodai nilai-nilai islam dan membuat sebuah pertanyaan baru, "Apakah cerita ini hanya fiksi belaka ataukan memang kejadian yang sebenarnya?" dan apabila ini hanya fiksi, maka ada apa dengan sang penulis??
Alur cerita ini diakhiri dengan kehidupan sang tokoh utama yang damai beserta orang-orang yang dicintainya, akan tetapi dengan epilog tersebut, menurut saya membuat alur cerita menjadi kurang kuat dan terasa hambar karena tidak adanya klimaks yang tercipta.
Buku ini lebih banyak menceritakan tentang masa pembangunan Taj Mahal yang cukup lama dalam masa-masa kritis sebuah kerajaan, karena dilain pihak, ada peperangan yang harus dilakukan untuk mempertahankan dan memperluas wilayah serta menumpas pemberontakan.

Network Settings
Gambar disamping ini, adalah jaringan yang ada di kantor yang baru. Well ini adalah hasil utak-atik juga .... jadi network engineer kecil-kecilan lah sekaligus implementasinya itung-itung sambil belajar.
Pake server dari Supermicro trus OS yang digunakan Linux (dari CentOS versi 4 update 4 karena udah ada yum nya), ADSL Router pake DLINK (ngga puas pake device ini, karena IP nya suka berubah-berubah sendiri, dan saking keselnya .... ya udah lah pake IP defaultnya aja)

Pakai aja default nya terus range IP nya diganti dengan 10.10.10.0/24, plus edit sedikit konfigurasi supaya sebua user ada di network tersebut.
2. Konfigurasi NAT
tujuannya supaya orang-orang yang ada di Local Network bisa akses internet, kalo pengen detilnya cari aja bacaan sendiri tentang NAT, prakteknya NAT yang paling sederhana di linux adalah sebagai berikut:
# echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward
# iptables -I POSTROUTING -t nat -s 10.10.10.0/24 -d 0/0 -j MASQUERADE
Baris pertama menginformasikan ke kernel bahwa kita akan mengaktifkan ip forwarding.
Baris kedua menginformasikan bahwa paket data dari network 10.10.10.0/24 akan di masquerade.
3. Install & konfigurasi Squid
Squid adalah caching server, jadi website yang dikunjungi oleh user bisa di cache dan jika ada user lain yang juga membutuhkan page yang sama, bisa lebih cepat ditampilan (hehehe .... bo'ongin user nich ...).
Untuk konfigurasi squid, saya pakai default nya saja, dengan penambahan beberapa directive / tag sebagai berikut:
httpd_accel_host virtual
httpd_accel_port 80
httpd_accel_with_proxy on
httpd_accel_uses_host_header on
acl local_net src 10.10.10.0/24
http_access allow local_net
Agar user mau menggunakan proxy, harus ada sedikit pemaksaan. Jadi redirecting port harus dilakukan agar user tidak mengetahui adanya pemaksaan tersebut .... (hehehe .... usernya dibo'ongin lagi ... )
# iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -i eth0 -p tcp --dport 80 -j REDIRECT --to-port 3128
4. Karena iptables ngga langsung menyimpan konfigurasi yang sudah di definisikan, maka perlu jalankan command berikut:
# iptables-save /etc/sysconfig/iptables
atau tambahkan line-line berikut ini di /etc/rc.d/rc.local
echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward
iptables -I POSTROUTING -t nat -s 10.10.10.0/24 -d 0/0 -j MASQUERADE

Gambar disamping ini, adalah jaringan yang ada di kantor yang baru. Well ini adalah hasil utak-atik juga .... jadi network engineer kecil-kecilan lah sekaligus implementasinya itung-itung sambil belajar.
Pake server dari Supermicro trus OS yang digunakan Linux (dari CentOS versi 4 update 4 karena udah ada yum nya), ADSL Router pake DLINK (ngga puas pake device ini, karena IP nya suka berubah-berubah sendiri, dan saking keselnya .... ya udah lah pake IP defaultnya aja)

Tutorial: Merubah Nama Kontak di Yahoo Messenger
Yahoo Messenger, pasti udah sering denger khan .... Seperti yang sudah diketahui, di Yahoo Messenger kita agak sulit untuk menuliskan nama teman dengan menggunakan spasi, yang akhirnya penggunaan underscore menjadi alternatifnya.
Tutorial ini akan membahas, bagaimana caranya supaya spasi dapat hadir sebagai pemisah nama kontak, berikut ini langkah-langkahnya:
1. Buka Yahoo Messenger, dan aktifkan.
2. Klik kanan pada YahooID kemudian klik menu Contact Details.
3. Pada kolom Nickname tuliskan nama yang anda inginkan, untuk menuliskan spasi, anda harus menggunakan kombinasi dari key ALT dan 255 (tekan terus tombol ALT sambil menekan tombol-tombol angka 2, 5 dan 5)
catatan:
Anda harus menggunakan keypad numerik (yang ada di sebelah kanan keyboard) saat menekan tombol-tombol angka.

SATA atau sering kali ditemukan tertulis S-ATA
adalah kependekan dari Serial ATA yang merupakan peningkatan dari teknologi P-ATA (PATA, Paralel ATA) atau secara umum lebih sering disebut sebagai IDE.
1.5 Gb SATA
Generasi pertama SATA bekerja pada 1.5 gigabit per detik, dengan transfer rate sebesar 1.2 gigabit per detik atau sama dengan 150 megabyte per detik.
Peningkatan ini sangat signifikan dibandingan dengan generasi PATA.
3.0 Gb SATA
Generasi kedua dari teknologi SATA bekerja pada 3.0 gigabit per detik, hal ini menghasilkan transfer rate yang 2 kali lipat dari generasi pertama, di tahun 2006/2007 saat tulisan ini dibuat, hard disk generasi kedua dari teknologi SATA sudah banyak beredar di pasaran dan sangat sulit untuk mendapatkan hard disk SATA generasi pertama bahkan hard disk tipe PATA / IDE mulai sulit ditemukan.
6.0 Gb SATA
Sepertinya para penembang teknologi SATA belum puas dengan peningkatan transfer rate sampai dengan 300 megabyte per detik, sehingga mereka mulai mengembangkan teknologi SATA generasi ke tiga yang di klaim akan memberikan peningkatan transfer rate hingga mencapai 600 megabyte per detik.
External SATA
Term External SATA atau sering kali disingkat dengan eSATA mulai di perkenalkan kepada umum pada akhir tahun 2006 (paling tidak di Indonesia), ini merupakan sebuah langkah maju, dimana media penyimpanan dengan teknologi SATA tidak harus menjadi bagian dari sebuah sistem komputer, bahkan teknologi ini kedepan diharapkan dapat menggantikan teknologi USB dalam hal media penyimpanan.
Keuntungan SATA
Dibandingkan dengan teknologi PATA / IDE, keuntungan dari SATA, diantaranya
Disk SATA mendukung Hot Swap, artinya saat sistem masih hidup, anda bisa dengan leluasa memasang atau melepas hard disk seperti halnya USB Drive.
Controller SATA mungkin lebih sederhana dibandingkan dengan controller PATA, hal ini dibuktikan dengan hadirnya Controller RAID untuk SATA yang murah, bahkan akhir-akhir ini Controller RAID tersebut sudah ditanamkan dalam mainboard.
Dari sisi kapasitas, hard disk SATA menjanjikan kapasitas yang benar-benar huge, saat ini, di pasar Indonesia hard disk SATA dengan kapasitas 300 GB sampai dengan 500 GB sudah mulai beredar, mungkin beberapa bulan kedepan kapasitas 1 TB akan segera hadir di pasar Indonesia.
Kekurangan SATA
Pengalaman di beberapa customer yang menggunakan server dengan hard disk SATA mengeluhkan hard disk dengan teknologi ini lebih pendek umurnya dibandingkan dengan hard disk PATA, terutama jika hard disk SATA tersebut berada dalam lingkungan RAID.
Kekurangan itu secara tidak langsung memang diakui oleh vendor, terbukti dari teknologi terbaru yang dimiliki oleh Hitachi Data System pada storage level modularnya tidak dapat menggunakan RAID 0 jika hard disk SATA yang digunakan.
Kapasitas yang terlalu besar, dapat membuat fobia pada orang-orang yang bergerak di bidang IT atau bahkan dari orang-orang di departemen Accounting, karena mereka bertaruh untuk menyimpan data yang demikian besar dalam sebuah media penyimpanan.

Training SAP Data Archiving di India tanggal 22 - 26 Januari 2007.Transit dulu di Malaysia selama 6 jam .... fiiuuuhhhh .... lama banget sich, untungnya ada wifi gratis jadi bisa pake internet gratis. Anyway, ternyata bandara nya cozy banget buat santai dan berinternet ria ..... hehehehe ..... jadi 6 jam nunggu ngga terasa.
Jam 9 malem (waktu India, atau jam 11.30 waktu Indonesia) baru sampai di India, ternyata Soekarno-Hatta lebih bagus dibanding di India ....
selain itu suasana nya lumayan crowded tapi untungnya pihak hotel udah jemput di bandara, jadi tinggal ikut mereka dan istirahat di hotel.
Pengalaman pertama di India .... sungguh membingungkan dengan keadaan kota (atau mungkin negaranya) yang cukup kacau dengan kendaraan yang berseliweran ngga karuan ditambah lagi dengan makanan yang terlalu banyak rempah-rempah dan hampir tidak ada pilihan, bikin ngga betah.
Ada hal yang lucu juga saat cari taxi buat berangkat ke tempat training, tapi udah lama nunggu koq gak ada taxi yang lewat ya ..... (karena dalam fikiran, yang disebut taxi itu adalah kendaraan yang berbentuk sedan) .... ternyata kalo disini angkutan yang dimaksud adalah bajaj ..... fiuuuhhh .... tapi ongkosnya jauh lebih murah dari bajaj yang beroperasi di Jakarta, selain itu ada argo meternya juga loh.
Kehidupan di India, terutama di tempat yang gue tinggal ini benar-benar mengingatkan gue ke era tahun 60 - 70 an .... dimana bokap gue atau bahkan mungkin kakek gue dulu pernah melewati zaman itu, kayaknya gue terdampar di suatu tempat yang bener-bener asing ..... dan menunggu untuk kembali ke masa depan. :P
